Grand Canyon Camping Doing It In Style

Grand Canyon camping is an experience and a half! If you have ever been to the Grand Canyon then you will know what I’m talking about. There is nothing like it in the world, the views the wildlife and the feeling of being completely alone in one of the harshest places on the planet.

Grand Canyon Camping The Experience

As was said before, there is nothing like camping in the Grand Canyon. If you go you must make sure you spend at least a week there taking in all the amazing sites and sounds that go along with this amazing experience.

Grand Canyon camping of course is not for everyone. Only seasoned campers should take up the challenge of spending a week in one of the most rugged conditions in the world. If you don’t have a great deal of camping experience then it is recommended that you take part in a few less advanced camping trips, just to get you used to the feeling of what it’s like to camp.

Grand Canyon Camping Be Prepared

One thing that people need to be aware of it that there are many dangers that you may face when camping in the Grand Canyon. Rattle snakes inhabit the vast plains of the Grand Canyon and you should always be on the lookout for them. Better yet, be prepared just in case an emergency arises. Having a satellite phone is a great idea when camping in the Grand Canyon as more than likely if an emergency does occur, you’re going to be in a desolate place, miles from civilization and a helicopter may be needed to fly an injured person to the nearest hospital.

When’s The Best Time To Go Grand Canyon Camping?

The best time to go camping in the Grand Canyon is at the start of Autumn , when the weather is perfect, the skies are blue enabling clear views of the amazing cliffs that makeup the Grand Canyon.

If you’re worried about having to share your experience with an abundance of other campers then don’t be. Due to the vast spaces across the Canyon, it’s unlikely you’ll come into much contact with other campers, making the experience even more special.

So the next time you’re thinking about going on a camping trip, make sure to take the Grand Canyon into consideration, I’m sure you’ll have a ball.
